Wolfgang Oehme came to this country from Germany over 50 years ago. He brought with him some new ideas on Landscape Design. I had the pleasure to photograph him for The Washington Post in one of the gardens that he designed 45 years ago. It was a damp dreary day, but his garden, even in the inclement weather, was still beautiful. Because it was early April, the leaves had not yet grown back on the trees, nor were the flowers in bloom, but the pathways, pond, and benches were still very warm, welcoming, and beautiful.
